Texas Level IV Personnel Protection Officer

This is a 15-hour course that the Texas Department of Public Safety requires – Private Security Board. This course meets and exceeds the training requirements of the PSB for a Personal Protection Officer license which allows a security officer to work in a bodyguard position. Subjects covered include: how to protect the principal alone or as a team, threat avoidance techniques, and how to plan and scout escape routes. Some defensive tactics, transportation tips, and the value and importance of proper planning and preplanning are taught.

This is a 100% practical application course. There will be limited classroom instruction due to our teaching methods. We believe and have proven that teaching and retaining information comes from rehearsing.

This course will teach you the concepts of personal protection, dignitary protection, and close protection. The concepts are sound and considered “industry standard” in providing plain-clothed armed bodyguard services to your clients.

Upon completing the Broadsword Defense Texas Personal Protection Officer course, you may have the opportunity to apply to become a Broadsword Defense Texas Level IV Personal Protection Officer.

After completing the required State of Texas curriculum, you will be tested in two final exercises. These final exercises are conducted in a real-world environment and will give you the utmost confidence in your abilities and understanding of your duties.
